While not experts on Technology in any respect, most people in business or otherwise are relying on computers, iPhones, Blackberry’s etc., as not only a convenience but as a requirement.

I am not an expert but rely on my Blackberry for maintaining appointments, email, texts, phone messages / conversations, reading documents, creating documents and generally staying in control of my daily life. While convenient it is not very handy to write long emails on a tiny keypad Qwerty or otherwise, to solve this I decided to down load and try the Vlingo software for my Blackberry Curve purchased at the College Place Sprint Store across from Walmart.

I was very dubious about the software being able to recognize my voice even people at 411 sometimes have a hard time hearing over cell phones. The free service worked nearly flawlessly will say at least as well as a 411 operator, and the more I used it the better it got at recognizing my speech. In a word efficient, already saving time. The free software does allot like search the web, dial your phone, notes to self. But it will not text people who do not have Vlingo or send email to any contact so I upgraded.

The software was easy to buy from Blackberry and I had no problems installing and getting it to work with all my applications. It has been in use now for 3 days, it is Excellent. ”Writing” emails from your Blackberry is now easier than on the computer. I highly recommend Vlingo they have it available for many phones including Blackberry, iPhone, Nokia, and Windows Mobile. For less than $18 I feel like the Blackberry is now at least %50 more efficient. Google searches, seamless directions, applications launches it really makes your world easier which is the reason for the phones anyway.

The Walla Walla Flu Round-Up was to run Oct. 20, 21, 22, but to supply limitations and demand of the shots this year they ran out of the Children’s annual flu vaccine around 4pm Oct. 21. If you were not in the childrens age group they were able to continue the vaccines through the evening.

According to a Oct. 22 TWEET (Walla Walla County Public Health) – “Due to refrigeration failure NO annual influenza vaccine available @ Fairgrounds today-Unknown when/if additional vaccine will be available”

We were told that some local pharmacies may still have the children’s annual flu vaccine. It is reported that Shopko on Rose St. in Walla Walla still has some and they may be able to bill your insurance for a portion of the cost.

H1N1
According to a separate TWEET – “600 doses 2009 A(H1N1) Swine flu vaccine available at Fairgrounds today. Administered to CDC Priority List ONLY @ tinyurl.com/ykgl9ve“

It sounds like they still have the H1N1 Vaccine but will administer to those in the CDC Priority List.
