Google Android HTC @ Sprint in Walla Walla
Nov 4, 2009 Business Highlights
Two weeks ago we purchased our HTC Hero with Google’s Android operating system from the Sprint Store in Down Town Walla Walla. Zach Winterton our expert there at Sprint took me through a few smart phone options that Sprint has available like the Blackberry series, HTC’s Windows Mobile series, the Palm Pre and the new HTC Hero powered by the robust Google Android Operating System. Owning a small business here in Walla Walla we were shooting for a device that would seamlessly integrate with email, calendar, browser, we needed a good camera 5 mega pixels, and it needed to be straight forward to use.
The HTC Hero became for us that phone. It has excellent sms and email functions, the camera is fantastic allowing us to upload video directly to youtube for promotions, and the integration with Google Calendar is perfect. So far the only slight concerns have been the touch screen for ease of use which for this user has been no problem small fingers, and we were warned about a short battery life which has been no problem what so ever.
The Android operating system is a very good choice for business and for personal use and stacks up well against the iPhone in all areas that matter to us, and the HTC Hero in particular with it’s SD Memory chip made the decision easy.

I can say that the android operating system is the top of the line for a business minded individual. If they are looking for a phone that can do everything from email to viewing spreadsheets on the go and taking conference calls then this is the phone. I have sold several of the HTC Hero and have been told that it is the best phone by far for things ranging from the Apps to the speed of it and the footprinting (GPS by photo location). Doubt us? Come by the college place sprint and challenge us.
